Book a mow

Locally owned. Nationally consistent.

WeMow is a network of independently owned lawn care businesses across New Zealand, sharing one booking system, one price structure and one standard of work.

The problem we set out to fix

Getting your lawns done in New Zealand usually means ringing around, leaving messages, waiting for someone to come and look, and then hoping the number they give you is the number on the invoice. Meanwhile the good operators are booked out and hard to reach, because they are out mowing rather than answering the phone.

Neither side of that is broken because people are bad at their jobs. It is broken because a one-van business cannot also be a call centre and a scheduling department.

What we actually built

WeMow gives local operators the software a national company would have — territory management, live capacity planning, pricing rules, job tracking, photo evidence, payments and reporting — and leaves the business itself in local hands.

For you that means the person who turns up is a local business owner or their crew, and the booking experience is the one you would expect from a company a thousand times the size.

How we are different

  • Your address chooses the franchise. No picking from a list of strangers, no bidding, no race to the bottom on price.
  • Availability is real. We calculate actual capacity rather than showing a generic time grid and sorting it out later.
  • Nothing is charged until the price is agreed. Not at booking, not on a guess.
  • Every job is photographed. Before and after, on your booking, whether you were home or not.
  • Crew are employed or properly contracted by the franchise. They are not gig workers bidding for your job.

Where we are

We are currently operating in Auckland North and Wellington Central, and opening further territories across New Zealand. Demand from addresses we cannot yet service is exactly how we decide where to go next — so entering an address we do not cover is genuinely useful rather than a dead end.

Interested in running one?

We are talking to prospective franchisees in most main centres. If you already run a lawn care business, or you want to start one with the operational side handled, have a look at what is involved.
